There was just a misunderstanding as to how much time we would devote to Ocean Magic.

I've been reading about various advantage slots and tried to correlate it with what I find in the tribal casinos in washington state.
However, it seems we have a different version of the ocean magic type slots. I can find both fu ru dong hai and dragonsphere, but on both machines the orbs never stay from play to play. Instead they appear randomly and go away again after each spin.
Does anyone know if this is due to WA law requiring machines to be lottery based? And does this mean that advantage slots are effectively illegal in WA?
What's interesting is that I have found Aladdin here too, and after 8 sessions (hanging around for multiple hours each session) of which 7 was very profitable, I'm having a hard time accepting that it was just pure luck so far, but I do understand my sample size is quite small.
Any thoughts?

I think Indian casinos are scary.
I've seen the OM games in class II. Bubbles randomly appearing and disappearing. If there is a way to beat those, I don't know what it is.

Ocean Magic has just started appearing on UK based IGT machines under the same conditions you describe. The bubbles don't stay from one spin to the next, so there is no opportunity to vulture.TennisRatings

Yes, Ocean Magic (and also Dragonsphere) has been on the IGT machines here in the UK for a good while now - also in Betfred and William Hill shops as well. When I first saw them in the bookies shops i thought it would be a licence to print money but sadly, they're on the same program as the casinos. I have literally no idea why the software is different but I suspect it's probably due to some random programming error (you can't even scroll through the stakes on any game on the IGT casino terminals) as opposed to because they tried to make them 'unplayable'.
@Blackjacklad - do you AP slots in UK? Would be interested to have a chat - been doing it for 20 years.
@Wizard - thanks for posting the OM payout percentages by grid position, if you could do this for OM Grand as well that would be superb. Particular interest would be viability of low-ish spots on reel 4 when machine target % is reasonably high (e.g. 90%).

Ocean Magic Slot Machine

The simplicity of this slot game does not clash with the ability of IGT to deliver some good, old-fashioned fun and Ocean Magic manages to show you a good time.

To play Ocean Magic, you will have to cash out at least $0.50 per spin or press your bets to up $1,500 on all 50 paylines. The bets are adjusted manually and the speed of the game can be increased or decreased using the button at the bottom of the game screen.

The structure of the game is quite conventional – 4 rows and 5 reels – and the combinations are paid left to right. When more than one payable icon combination lands on a single payline, only the one with the highest value symbols will be acknowledged. The expected return to player percentage is above 96%, which, apart from the low minim bet, is another thing to look forward to when starting your Ocean Magic adventure.

Ocean Magic bonus rounds and special features

The symbol that can replace all others and complete a combination which can generate a payout is the Bubble Wild. As always, Scatter icons or the symbols that can trigger bonus features cannot be replaced by the Wild.

Random Bubbles will float across the reels and behave as Wild icons during the spins. If the same Bubbles land directly on the Ocean Magic symbol, all the icons that are linked with Ocean Magic will transform into Wilds. Chest icon will not have the same “reaction”to the Bubble touch, which means that it will still be able to unlock the bonus round.

If you decide to click on the Wild Bubble Button located at the very bottom of the game screen, whatever betting amount you've selected will be doubled and 2 to 7 more Wilds added.

For a combination of Scatter Chest icons, the player will trigger a picking game that can award Free Spins. Each of the Bubbles that you get to choose from has a specific number of spins, which will be revealed as the player is clicking on the Treasure Chest. The number of picks is equal to the number of the Scatters that activated the feature and the player can be awarded with 3 to 5 picks. In total, players can be awarded with 100 spins in the first round and get additional spins during the bonus round, since the feature is re-triggerable and can be started again when the same combo of scatters lands onto the reels.

Strong and weak points of Ocean Magic Slot

Ocean Magic slot offers a decent number of Free Spins and fun bonus features – especially the Wild Bubble Button, which is pretty tempting, although potentially dangerous since it can drain your budget sooner than expected. However, with the reasonable betting range, you can still let it loose once in a while and go for the double bet.

Perhaps Magic Ocean does not really offer a particularly innovative theme, but it is definitely worth the money invested and can generate a fair share of payouts and free spins. The return to player percentage is also promising and if there was ever a game that can be described as more than meets the eye, it is definitely Ocean Magic.
